The Future of Mass Consumer Retail and Cannabis
For two decades, Kelly Coughlin has worked as a publicist and strategist in the CPG/retail, healthcare, technology, real estate, media, and sports and entertainment industries. Her experience includes: building national advertising and public relations platforms, negotiation and creation of national media and sports/entertainment sponsorships, creation of interactive platforms supported by SEO/SEM practices, and high profile individual management. Coughlin has represented entertainers, athletes, physicians, Fortune 500 executives, national brands, sports organizations, festivals and tours, real estate companies and retailers. She is currently the president of Annex Communication. She holds a bachelor’s in communication from Boston College.
Thomas Woodley began his career with Nestle Food Company in 1990 after graduating from USC with a master’s in marketing and finance. He worked for Nestle in a variety of positions: marketing, new product development, and sales. He launched many new products in a variety of Nestle Divisions. He moved from marketing to sales in 1998 and held a variety of senior sales positions until he left the company in 2008 to start Woodley Consulting. Woodley Consulting works with startup companies to help them launch and gain distribution in all retail outlets: grocery, drug, mass merchandiser, club, and military.
Kismet is creating strategic industry alliances with mainstream retailers, global Consumer Packaged Goods companies, pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies. By establishing hemp and cannabis as new categories at store level, Kismet will change the perception of cannabis to a commodity, separate medical and recreational items by category, reduce the stranglehold that drug cartels currently have on the American industry, and temper the growth of tobacco. Israel as a Cannabis R&D Destination
AMA with a 15 year R&D veteran at the world’s leading cannabis research nation
Israel has a special place in the history of cannabis research. Researchers there were the first to publish the chemical structure of THC and discover the human endocannabinoid system. Following national legalization in March, Israeli scientists continue to be at the cutting edge of research and development of new products.
Yahav Blaicher has 15 years of experience in horticulture, plant biochemistry, and organic chemistry analysis. He has been in control of R&D and formulation and manufacturing of botanicals and cannabis-based products. Blaicher has a master’s in agronomy and crop science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Cannabis Law Reform Activism in New Zealand
“How do you speak to your friends, family, and community about the work you are doing in cannabis? How do you work to change the laws in the place where you live?”
Join us for a question and answer session on Sept. 13 at 1:30 p.m. with New Zealand transplant Abe Gray. He has worked in the country for 15 years through political activism and cultural exposition to legalize cannabis through normalizing cannabis, and change the existing taboos around the plant. He’s even campaigning for mayor, and the race will take place later this month.
He’ll answer questions about the process of legalization, and the process of normalization, from a United States background with a now international perspective.
About Abe Gray
Abe Gray moved to New Zealand from the States with the expectation that the government would legalize cannabis soon after he arrived. When a different party got elected in, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Abe founded the Whakamana Cannabis Museum to document the influence of cannabis in New Zealand culture to normalize it and educate the public. Not only that, but he has also decided to run for mayor, and the race will take place later this month.

About Michael Wagner and Gabriel Allred
Las Vegas native Michael Wagner has worked with the largest investment management firms in Las Vegas (Investment Counsel Company, United Capital, and Arista Wealth Management) in select capacities, including investment analyst, relationship manager, and portfolio manager. Having recently completed the Level III CFA exam, he has achieved the last of the qualifications necessary to apply for the coveted CFA Charter designation. Wagner’s background is coupled with a deep passion and enthusiasm for the cryptocurrency ecosystem, of which he has been involved since 2013. As a Las Vegas native, he has a network of entrepreneurs, developers, and fintech enthusiasts, including advisers in the legal cannabis distribution industry.
Aside from his work with cryptocurrency since 2011, Gabriel Allred is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in cognitive science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has a background in data sciences and has contracted for the Air Force research labs conducting applied research for intelligence analysts. His current dissertation work focuses on the cognitive factors within behavioral economics. Allred is heading Tokes platform development and the technological infrastructure of the company.
